summer 2026 recap

hey, friends!!

summer is technically not over and i actually haven’t started school yet but i am next week so it’s basically over haha. this summer was amazing but i’m also so excited for the fall & everything that comes with it! here’s my 2026 summer recap!

• my brother’s wedding!!
• engagement photos for my brother & his now wife
• graduation party for my sister
• south dakota trip with my boyfriend’s family (highlights: the badlands, wall drug, and devils tower)
• night swims at my grandmas pool with my cousins (so fun except for the bats 😭)
• fourth of july !! started the day with a 5 mile fun run, lunch at my grandmas, then a pool party and cookout with all my dad’s family
• girls’ lake trip with my sister and our friends
• sunset photos at the lake

• summer running (so many good workouts + runs)
• bonfires
• memorial day at the lake
• my birthday !!! spent the night at our lake house, got cinnamon rolls & coffee from a cute bakery, birthday lunch with my grandparents, and then watched pride and prejudice with my family + bf!
• camp character / vbs
• so many good iced lattes
• scrapbooking & other crafts
• so many kittens + my cute little sister
• all of our flower gardens + wildflowers on the roadsides
• lake day with girls from the xc team
• reading a lot (going to do a whole post on my books of the summer next week)
• running a 5k pr!!! and watching my siblings + mom run a half marathon
• baking a bunch (favorites: soft pretzels, blueberry muffins, banana bread)
• xc team runs!
• bible study outside!
• senior photos for one of my besties
• grand marais vacation (soo much fun!! also have a post coming about this soon)
• tubing, boating, paddleboarding, swimming & spending nights at the lake!
