lutsen mountains 2026

hey, friends!

my family has been going to lusten to ski for years now, and it’s always some of my favorite days of the whole year. it’s the best skiing you’re going to get in the midwest, plus has gorgeous lake views since you’re right by lake superior. we went up there two summers ago (i did a post on it here!) and it was amazing then, too. here’s a happy list& some pics from our trip!!

• olive garden for lunch in duluth (a tradition) + kt donuts on the drive up – if only world’s best donuts in grand marais was open in the winter
• my aunt & uncle coming with us!
• rereading jane eyre – even better than the first time.
• skiing in some insane fog – kinda creepy, kinda cool
• riding the gondola in said fog – kinda terrifying (tbh the gondola freaks me out in general)
• watching hallmarks & wcth
• homemade brownies & ice cream

• the most perfect sunny & blue sky day on our first day skiing
• hot tub after a long day of skiing
• making friends with this cute little girl at the pool – i was trying to get my little sister to come get in the pool, but instead she came over and then was playing with me haha
• skiing mystery mountain and skiing some fun backcountry runs
• lunch at the summit chalet – funny story: my little sister & i were done before the rest of my fam so we decided to take the gondola back. except we forgot to grab a room key, so we were waiting outside our condo in very cold rain/wind for twenty mins while waiting for my brother to come with the key 😭
