hey, friends!
baking is one of my family’s favorite things to do during christmas time, and we have so many good recipes. in case you need something for breakfast christmas morning or cookies to eat on christmas eve, here’s some ideas!!

cranberry orange bread
if you’ve never had cranberry orange bread, you need to try it. the texture is similar to banana bread, but so much better! my favorite recipe describes it as bright & zingy, and i think that fits it perfectly. eating it for breakfast with eggs or yogurt for protein is what i love to do. also, if you want it to be even lower sugar than what the recipe is, i only did 1/2 cup for two loaves, and it was still sweet!

magic bars
the easiest recipe ever, but one of the best christmas treats there is! no one likes coconut or pecans at my house so if you aren’t a coconut or pecan fan either, skip them, and they will still be magical.

spritz cookies
the cookie press that we always use to make these was my great grandma’s, and it’s starting to give out on us. thankfully, it has kept working well enough (it’s definitely given my mom some headaches, though haha) that we’ve made a few batches of spritz cookies this year! they are buttery & sweet, and if you want to get fancy, drizzle some chocolate over them.

double chocolate peppermint cookies
i love chocolate sugar cookies, and these peppermint chocolate cookies taste a lot like them, just with peppermint for a christmas-y twist. they are soft and chewy with melted chocolate in every bite. what could be better?!

gingerbread muffins
i made these for the first time this year and i loved them! they were a little dry, so next time i make them, i’ll probably do something to change that, but the flavor was great. perfect to drink with a cup of vanilla or chai tea!

cinnamon rolls
we always have these for breakfast on christmas with egg dish, and i’m pretty sure it’s what my mom had when she was growing up, too, so it’s a very important tradition! i don’t think we have a specific recipe we use every year anymore, i made these sourdough discard ones last year, which are really simple and my sister made this one a few weeks ago that was amazing. either way, cinnamon rolls are a staple during christmastime.

peanut butter blossoms
probably the most popular cookie on our house 🤭 always recommend leaving them what seems like a tiny bit underbaked because then they will be the softest and most delicious cookie you’ve ever had.

monster cookies
one of my friends made these a long time ago, and i loved them. last year, i remembered and made them for the first time. i’ve already made them a couple of times this year, and they are so good!

other favorites: sugar cookies, fudge, chocolate heads, christmas crack, meringue cookies (not mine but my sisters, i do not like them haha), chocolate cake cookies, molasses cookies
now, it’s your turn!

These all look so yummy!
Around Christmas we always have lots of sugar in the house 😝 My favorite is probably either gingerbread cookies (which we don’t do every year) or molasses cookies (which are perfect for Christmas but we make any time of the year lol!)
I totally want to try the cranberry orange bread!!
ooh I’m definitely going to be making some of these in the next few days!! 😋 especially those peppermint cookies and magic bars 🤭 my family usually just makes gingerbread and sugar cookies as our “Christmas goodie tradition”, so some new recipes will be fun to try ehehe. thanks for sharing, pearl!
