summer recap 2025

Hey, friends!

This is always one of my favorite posts to write every summer because I love getting to look back at all my favorite memories & pictures from the summer. This summer was amazing but I’m also so excited for fall and everything that comes with it. Enjoy reading!

• decorating my room (FINALLY)
• reading so much !! (favorites of the summer: to treasure an heiress by roseanna m. white, yesterday’s tides by roseanna m. white, the sisters of sea view by julie klassen, miss newbury’s list by megan walker)
• doodled a bunch
• family vacation at a lake house (i caught two fish + went on a lot of bike rides + played cards + read a bunch + went to a water ski show + hiking + kayaking + swimming a bit when it was finally warm enough)
• lavender fields + a bachelorette party with all my aunts & girl cousins
• youth group mini golf trip
• swim team (i have such a love-hate relationship with swim team but it was mostly fun this year)
• summer running (this was great until it wasn’t 😭 basically i ran way too much and ended up with patellar tendonitis in my knee 2 weeks before xc started – so far i’ve had to miss three meets but it’s getting better and i’m getting to race this weekend!)
• running a half marathon with my mom & brother & sister
• fourth of july (did a really fun 5 mile race in the morning, we had a cookout with my grandparents then all my dad’s family came over the next day which was great)
• studying esther with some girls from my church
• entering drawings + photos in the fair (post coming soon!!)
• turned 16 (my mom made these cinnamon rolls which were amazing for my birthday breakfast, we went boating, i did an hour on the elliptical with my sister + watched some of my favorite yt vlogs, had a birthday dinner with all my grandparents, and then watched some of miss austen and sisters!)
• campfiresss
• youth group mini golf trip
• lots of good iced coffeeeee
• boat days & tubing !!! (probably the highlight of my summer haha)
• took senior pictures for my sister & one of my friends
• the prettiest sunsets
• had a really fun birthday party (we made bracelets, ate a bunch of food, watched honey i shrunk the kids, and then had a sleepover out on our sunporch!)
• bible study on the porch 🤍
• camp character/vbs
• actually blogging some (not as much as i wanted to but better than nothing)
• got my license (+ finished behind the wheel, not the greatest of my summer but at least it’s over with haha)
