Hey, friends!
Since I started blogging, I’ve always written posts about our summer vacations (you can read last year’s post here!) and I always love being able to read them later on and remember all my favorite things about the trip. This year, we went up to northern Minnesota with my grandparents and we had an amazing time seeing waterfalls, running on trails, hiking, riding the gondola, doing the alpine slide, and so much more! After that, we drove down to St. Paul for a family reunion and stayed at a Great Wolf Lodge there for a few days. Here’s a list of some of my favorite things we did and lots of beautiful pictures!
- visiting gooseberry falls on the drive up
- walking on the pierre & rocks in grand marais
- trying world’s best donuts!
- blizzards from dairy queen after church
- visiting a cute bookstore!
- looking at the grand portage national monument & all the history there
- running a lot of miles (like 55 during the trip 😂)
- seeing a moose (it wasn’t alive. but it was still a moose.)
- watching my siblings ride the alpine slide (i was way too scared haha)
- going to high falls of the pigeon river (this waterfall was insane.)
- bible study on the deck with the prettiest view (:
- swimming & the hot tub with my siblings
- lunch at the summit chalet after riding the gondola
- hiking to the top of eagle mountain
- all the lake views!
- visiting the st. paul cathredal in st. paul
- going on waterslides with my siblings!
- donuts from dunkin 3 days in a row 😂
- swimming in the lake with my siblings and cousins
- miniature bowling at great wolf
- actually finishing a book 😂
- so many pretty sunsets!

This trip was so much fun & now I’m counting the days until we go to Lutsen to ski this winter. 😂 I told my mom I want to move there so if any of you live up there and have an extra room, let me know haha.

My family and my mom’s four sisters and their families met up in the mountains to celebrate my grandparents’ 50th anniversary…it was so gorgeous and we also did a lot of running while we were there! The pictures from your vacation are so pretty and looking forward to skiing is so real, haha. Fun post!

my season doesn’t start until August, but summer running is my favorite so I try to do a lot of it! when does yours start?

Love this Pearl! Thanks sm for sharing! I’ve been traveling quite a bit this spring and summer with London in April and Washington DC in June, and am currently on a little weekend trip. It’s all been so much fun and I’m really enjoying storing up memories from this summer.
