caramel vanilla iced tea {my favorite summer tea recipe!}

Aug. 04, 2023

Hey, friends!

I am more than slightly addicted to tea at this point–I’ll drink at least three-four cups a day and I love trying out new fancy teas at home, like London Fogs, Chai & Peppermint Lattes, and more. And a few days ago, I discovered a new favorite: caramel vanilla tea with cold foam (milk & maple syrup!) and caramel drizzle. It is SO good. Today, I’m going to share my recipe for making it!

tea

My favorite Caramel Vanilla tea is Bigelow which you can find on both Amazon and Walmart. Honestly, it’s great both iced or hot with a splash of milk, but I prefer this way best. I use one bag for about 3/4 a cup of tea, and brew for 3-5 minutes.

cold foam

Make your cold foam by adding milk, half & half or heavy whipping cream to either a milk frother or a blender. Add sweetener of your choice. Blend or froth until you get your desired consistency. (I use a hand blender when I’m making only one cup and it takes around 3 minutes. I usually do it while the tea brews to save time!)

caramel drizzle

We rarely have this around the house but for my birthday party, we made ice cream sundaes so we had all the toppings and this was leftover. I’ve used both Hershey’s or Smuckers and they’re both fine. You really don’t use more than a drizzle so it doesn’t matter all that much.

ice

Pretty self explanatory but very needed ๐Ÿ˜‰

instructions:

  1. Boil water and brew Caramel Vanilla tea for 3-5 minutes.
  2. While your tea brews, make your cold foam. Froth or blend milk/heavy-whipping cream/half & half and 1 teaspoon or so of maple syrup for 3-5 minutes until you reach your desired consistency.
  1. Add ice to a cup. Pour tea over ice. Add your cold foam.
  2. Drizzle caramel and grab a straw.
  3. Enjoy!

now, it’s your turn!

This post is shorter than usual, but this week is our church’s VBS (which my mom basically runs!), plus we leave for vacation on Monday & then cross country starts right when I get back so I have a crazy next couple weeks. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ Anyway, let’s chat in the comments!

Do you like tea? Are you going to try to make a caramel vanilla iced tea? What are you up to over the next few weeks

Yesss it was so good! We don’t have a frother either so I just use our hand blender. You could also just use a normal blender. Thank you and let me know what you think if you try the recipe!

Hi Pearl! This looks delicious. I did have one question though- how much milk do you use to make the cold foam? Thank you!

I used around 1/8 – 1/4 of a cup. It depends on what cup size I’m making, though – I usually use a a little less than 1/4 for a 8 ounce mason jar. Enjoy!
