hey, friends!!
since winter is almost over (according to the calendar at least, midwest weather doesn’t usually listen, but it is warmer here for the next few days, so i’ll take it!), i wanted to share some things i’ve been loving from the last few months. this list isn’t anything specific, it has a couple of clothes, accessories, makeup & skincare products, books, etc. hopefully it’s helpful & enjoyable for you guys to read!
i’ve done a couple posts on having curly hair and products i love but i recently tried this gel by not your mothers (i usually use their normal gel), and it’s amazing! works so well, and my curls will last 3ish days and still look pretty good. if you have curly hair, definitely try it!!
i’m always looking for good, clean makeup products whenever i go to tjmaxx and i picked this up the last time i was there. it’s my favorite, looks so natural & can also be used as a lip stain. i probably going to restock it for full price once i run out, which means i really love it haha! (i have it in chill red in case you’re wondering.)
i use lots of bubble products, but this one is the best for getting rid of annoying pimples, etc! it works fast and makes it feel so much better. it can kinda dry your skin out (i already have very dry skin, esp in the winter), so putting on a moisturizer after is essential. (another one of my favorites: this burt’s bees moisturizer)
ae long weekend v-neck sweater
i got this sweater for christmas in pink, and i was wearing it multiple times week, which is why i recently bought in navy. it’s seriously so cozy and i wear it with everything. it’s also on sale now so if that isn’t your sign to buy it, i don’t know what is!!
my brother bought these for me last winter, and i still wear them all the time! i’ve tried to be careful about not getting them dirty, and they surprisingly look good. especially with living somewhere cold for months, having warm boots that are also cute is a must. my mom has a pair from bearpaw that are similar & she really likes them if you want a less expensive option.
kendra scott mini eliza necklace
another christmas gift that i wear almost every day! i love that it’s simple yet is pretty and elegant. the one i have is a pearl, which is so fun. definitely one of my favorites from the last few months!!
books
embers in the london sky by sarah sundin
i love sarah sundin’s books in general, but this one is my favorite that i’ve read recently. embers in the london sky has the perfect balance of love, mystery. if you like a good ww2 romance, this is what you’re looking for!
the maid of fairbourne hall by julie klassen
the most realistic, easy to believe, doesn’t even seem like fiction book i’ve read. i’m joking, but even though the plot was not realistic at all and the characters a bit annoying, i actually enjoyed the maid of fairbourne hall. should you read it? probably not because it’s not very good. – unless you like fluffy, somewhat cliche romance novels, like i do. (:
the metropolitan affair by jocelyn greene
this was an interesting read since i haven’t read a lot in this time period! set in new york in the 1920s, the metropolitan affair follows detective joe caravello and egyptologist lauren westlake in solving the mystery of art forgery. lots of cool details & learning about things i didn’t know much about!
now, it’s your turn!
what are some of your favorites lately? comment below, and thanks for reading!!

(ahh thanks so much for pointing that out! i just fixed it)
