Hey, friends!
Last year, after posting my gift guide, a lot of you asked for one with more affordable and cheaper ideas, so here it is! I tried to give a variety of ideas that most people would love. Some of these are smaller and would work well with a couple of other ideas from the list (e.g. a sketchpad & markers or hair ties, claw clips, and a hair mask, etc), while others can be by themselves.
Anyway, enjoy reading and hopefully you can get some good ideas!!
(Also, I’m going to be doing a list of diy and homemade gifts on Wednesday so if you like making your presents, there will be a post with a lot of ideas!)
places to shop
tjmaxx, ross, marshalls, dollar tree, walmart, amazon
the list
- facemasks
- hair ties
- claw clips
- hair mask
- chapstick
- funny or cozy socks
- gloves
- mugs (w/ tea or a hot chocolate bomb- if you can find nice mugs for $4-5 dollars (either from walmart, dollar tree, or ross/tjmaxx), then get a pack of hot chocolate bombs that’d make a great gift for around $7 per person!)
- stocking hat
- candles (ask if sensitive to scents)
- sketch pad
- highlighters or markers
- paperback books (look at their goodreads!)
- ornaments
- notebooks
- key chain
- card games (phase 10, spot it, taco cat goat cheese, happy salmon, monopoly deal, normal playing cards)
- bored games (clue, upwords, blockus, topple, monopoly, life, sequence)
- dice games (farkle, qwixx, yatzee)
- cute cups for drinks (either to-go ones or just glass for around the house- this one from walmart is so cute and only $3)
- christmas pajama pants/basic flannel
- squishmallows
- jewelry: necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc (stalk their pinterest for ideas of what they like!)
- basket with their favorite snacks or drinks
- bead or bracelet making kit
- new makeup or skincare bag
- jewelry travel case
- jewelry stand for room
- STMT kits (these are a little bit more expensive but they are really fun for people who like to do crafts!)
- lotion or soap (ask if sensitive to scents)
- initial necklace
- lego flowers (like these) & or other cute lego sets
- belt bag/fanny pack
- cookbooks
- t-shirts
- stickers
- blanket
- personalized beach towel
- letter for room decor (something like this– my mom got these for me and my sisters in 2019, and mine is still in my room & lights up)
now, it’s your turn!
To go along with this, my friend Kate did a gift guide about how to lean into love languages for gifts to make them more special, and I would definitely recommend reading it!!
Anything I should add to this list? Do you like shopping/buying or making gifts better?
Thank you for reading!!

One thing I’m doing this year is embroidering socks and making scrapbooks full of photos from the year and with little gifts in them like $5 Starbucks gifts cards, small jewelry etc. it’s so much fun to make and I know people will appreciate the thought.
I’m also doing fill in the love books for those people on my list who are so hard to shop for

You have so many good ideas here! This year I’m hoping to make more gifts myself, but I don’t mind buying some. I’m looking forward to your next post!
