Hey, friends!
Over the past year or so, I’ve really enjoyed trying different Bible studies, journals, reading plans, and other supplies for getting the most out of your Bible journaling! Today, I’m going to share some of my favorite resources and things I’ve found that I love and have helped me grow!
1. the daily grace co. Bible studies & journals
I LOVE the Daily Grace Co. Bible studies so much! Each devotional is well-written, thought-provoking, and includes a challenge that’s easy to apply. I also love their Into the Word: A expository journal for the Scripture when I’m reading larger passages of scripture. It really helps me dig in and get some deeper studying done.
2. the daily grace co. supplies {sticky notes, planner, bookmarks, & highlighters}
Basically, if you want any aesthetic Bible or Christian supplies for a good deal, head over to the Daily Grace Co. because they not only have Bible studies, but so many other amazing things for getting the most out of your Bible. My favorites are their sticky notes and bookmarks, but I also have a planner and highlighters. I don’t love the highlighters because they aren’t the easiest to use and I have others (listed below!) that I like using more, but they are really pretty and I know some people who love them!
3. zebra midliners, sharpie gel pens, micron pens, and tombow brush pens
Some of these things are more specific to Bible journaling (I’m planning on doing a post soon with a tour of my Bible journal & my favorite supplies so look out for that soon!) but I do use some of them for my every day Bible journaling, especially the Zebra Midliners and the Sharpie Gel Pens. All of these are pretty high-quality and they have lasted me 6+ months when I use them nearly every day.
4. book: this changes everything by jaquelle crowe ferris
This book is so good! Not only because Jaquelle is one of my writing instructors and she’s amazing, but this book is so inspiring and if you’re a teen needing a push to dive back into God’s word (and dive in for the first time!), you should definitely read this. I read it at least once a year because all the tips are so applicable and helpful to be reminded of!
5.not consumed bible studies & devotionals
My family has been doing these Bible studies for years, and the girls Bible study I was part of used them to and they’re great for doing by yourself, but also in a group. I love how you don’t just read the devotional but you have to write the verses and think throughout the study/devotional. I also have her Sibling Challenge journal which is great, no matter what age you are.
6. little faith bible plans
I found Jenny’s plans around three months ago and I’ve been reading them ever since! Her plans beautiful and themed but also that she has a challenge to go with each scripture depending on the month which I like. Plus, she keeps the reading portions small which is nice because I can read that plan and keep up with the scripture memorization I’m working on and do my prayer journaling.
7. awana & other songs for memorizing scripture
So, this tip is resource that is a bit random, but it’s something that I’ve used almost daily for the past six years or so. Have you ever tried to memorize a large portion of scripture? And I mean like a whole chapter? Well our church has become pretty focused on memorizing scripture since about six years ago, and my mom (she’s basically in charge of the kids ministry at our church) was trying to come up with a way to get us kids to learn more scripture. And then she discovered scripture songs, and the rest is history.
I now have around 25o verses memorized – most of them have a song to go with it – and some large passages of scripture, like the whole chapter of Ephesians 6 (I can actually sing it. :D), Matthew 5:3-12, Corinthians 13:1-8, and lots of other verses! If you’re trying to learn scripture and make it stick with you, I’d definitely find a song to learn it with wherever you listen to music!
8. praise: a creative journaling bible & KJV cross reference study Bible
The first is the journaling Bible I use which I have mixed feelings about. It is definitely not the greatest journaling Bible out of the five my mom/sister and I have had. The illustrations are beautiful but also can be frustrating since a lot of the pages I want to journal on already have something there. All in all, it’s a nice Bible except the pages are pretty thin and if you don’t like coloring (please say yes because I only know a few other people who don’t. 😜), it probably isn’t the Bible for you.
I also have this KJV cross reference study Bible that I love! I’d totally recommend this one since I don’t like bringing my journaling Bible places with me in fear of ruining it.
now, it’s your turn!
What are your favorite Bible study resources? What is your favorite Bible verse? Let’s chat in the comments!

I love The Daily Grace! Their Attributes of God study has been my favorite so far. 🙂
I couldn’t possibly choose an all time favorite verse, but I’ve been loving Isaiah 29: 19 lately…”The meek shall obtain fresh joy in the Lord, and the poor among mankind shall exult in the Holy One of Israel.”
