Hello, my friends!
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all are having a wonderful day! I don’t know if I am because I’m scheduling this post ahead of time, haha. Anyway, in celebration of the holiday, here’s a list of 25 things I’m grateful for today, along with photos.
Something I realize over and over again is how blessed I really and truly am. There are moments when I just feel so ungrateful, and then I look around and realize how I am so blessed ~ 2022 has been a roller coaster of a year, so many emotions, thoughts, moments, memories. . . I’m so thankful that I’ve had the chance to be able to experience each of those things.
I hope you enjoy scrolling through this post, as much as I enjoyed writing it for you guys! <3
1 ~ Jesus & my Salvation
2 ~ A wonderful family
I have one of the most wonderful families someone could ask for. Not everyone has one of those, and I’m so thankful I do. They make me laugh when I just want to cry and there are so many wonderful ways they remind me how much I am loved and how much I love them, all 9 of ‘em.
4 ~ Friends
At the beginning of the year, I didn’t realize how wonderful in-real-life friends could be, I was very unsocial except for the necessities of attending youth group and going to church. XP But in the past months, I’ve learned what it’s like to have close friends who you can be insane with and blow up marshmallows with a ball pump and put glasses on poor Chewy but will also listen and hug you when you need it. . . .those are the best kind of friends and I’m so thankful I have that kind of friends in my life.
4 ~ B&W photos
5 ~ Writing
There are moments when I hate writing when it’s the last thing I want to do, but there are also moments when I’m in the middle of a scene, caught up in a character’s emotions, and I’m in the story. . . it’s those moments that I love about writing and I’m so grateful that I’m able to do it.
6 ~ Books
Writing and books have always been one of the ways I escape, and after a hard day, I love being able to pick a book off my shelf and get lost in that story world.
7 ~ Seasons
He hath made everything beautiful in his time — Ecclesiastes 3:11 << There was is much beauty in each of the seasons, each unique and different in its own. God really did create four beautiful things, sunshine and blue sky in the summer, fall foliage and lovely colors in autumn, snow storms and glittery icicles in the winter, and rain and new beginnings in the spring. (*grins* That’s actually a line from The Summer at Sunset Bay. ;))
8 ~ Cheesecake
9 ~ Sunsets
10 ~ Early mornings
11 ~ Two sweet but hilarious dogs
12 ~ The little things
Tiny flowers, quiet moments, true words, laughter, smiles. . . .
13 ~ Sunflowers
14 ~ Skiing
15 ~ YDubs
YDubs (Also known as The Young Writers Workshop) has grown me in so many ways. Not just writing-wise, but as a person. It’s pushed me out of my comfort zone, helped me make new friends, and I’m so grateful I’ve had the honor to be able to serve and bless others there.
16 ~ Long runs & walks with friends
17 ~ Lakes & rivers
18 ~ Rainy days & storms
19 ~ Capturing beauty
This is a bit of an odd way to say it, but I’m thankful for it just the same ~ There is so, so much beauty around me, and sometimes, I’m just astounded by all of it. I’m also thankful for my camera, which is one of the ways I capture it, and for my watercolors and pencils.
20 ~ My penpals & snail mail
21 ~ Fairy lights
22 ~ Butterflies
23 ~ Snowy mornings
24 ~ Baking
25 ~ You
Because, my friend, you are amazing. <3 You are truly a blessing and something to be thankful for.

Hi, Pearl!
Great post! I love your list (and way to go coming up with 25 things! That’s impressive!). I saw ‘Resistance’ by Jennifer A. Nielsen in your book pile. I finished that not that long ago… it was really good. Have you read it?
I actually visited your blog because I was talking with Alicia from Organized Chaos about a digital book club that I am going to be releasing at the beginning of 2023. She thought that you may be interested in joining. It’s going to be a very casual Christian fiction book club, where we’ll read a new book every month and chat about it. No pressure, but if you’re interested, I would love for you to join!
Let me know what you’re thinking, and God bless you!

Hi, Pearl!
I’m so glad that Alicia recommended your site, because I hadn’t realized that you had a new site. I saw that your old site wasn’t up anymore, and I thought that you had quit blogging. I’m so glad that you just changed sites! I had really missed your posts!
Anyway, I’m putting together a book club, so that’s why I reached out to you (are you interested in joining?), but I’m just so happy to have found your site! 😊 God bless you, friend!

Hey, Erin!
Aw, I definitely would have not quit blogging ~ I’ve missed seeing your comments 😊 💛 My old site is supposed to point you here, but it hasn’t been working lately.
I haven’t read Resistance but it’s on my list! 😉 I just got it from the library a few days ago.
Ooh, it sounds amazing! How would we be communicating and what type of books would we read? I’m definitely interested!
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! <3

I’m so excited that you’re still blogging!
The book club is going to be run on a private WordPress site, where Christian bloggers can gather, read a book over a month, and chat about it in the comments of a discussion post I’ll be releasing every weekend. We’re going to vote on which book we’ll be reading every month, and I’d love to hear suggestions!
I will be emailing you an invite to the site when it launches, and I’ll include all of the details. Thanks so much, and God bless you!
